This event, organized by the Jangsu Life Culture and Arts Club (hereinafter referred to as Saengmundong), was sponsored by North Jeolla Province and Jangsu County. It offered local residents special memories with a variety of performances and hands-on experiences that captured the essence of autumn.
The stage featured calm performances such as saxophone and acoustic guitar recitals, poetry readings, and a diverse lineup of acts by local arts clubs. These captivated the eyes and ears of the audience, elevating the festive atmosphere.
On one side of the venue, a flea market was held, where local artists' creations were exhibited and sold. Handcrafted items such as bags, knitted accessories, ceramics, and calligraphy pieces, made with care, attracted visitors. There were also various food booths offering apple juice, Makgeolli, noodles, and egg bread, creating a festival environment that everyone could enjoy, regardless of age or gender.
In particular, families who visited enjoyed cultural performances and then purchased their favorite works at the flea market, spending time where culture and consumption came together. Club members who participated in the performances shared their artistic skills on stage, while residents expressed satisfaction at being able to enjoy culture close to home.
Chairman Jung Youngmo said, "The Moonlight Festival was a valuable opportunity for local residents to enjoy culture in their daily lives and interact with artists," adding, "Going forward, the Life Culture and Arts Club will continue to take the lead in organizing festivals that breathe together with the county's residents."
Meanwhile, the county will host the "2025 North Jeolla Life Culture and Arts Club Festival" at the outdoor stage of Hannuri Center on October 18 and 19. Clubs from 14 cities and counties in North Jeolla Province will participate, presenting performances, exhibitions, hands-on experiences, and a flea market. Through this event, Jangsu aims to establish itself as a hub for cultural and artistic exchange in North Jeolla Province.
