Over 260 Busan Parents Launch as Supporters for the National Sports Festival

With about 40 days remaining until the opening of the 106th National Sports Festival, around 260 parents in Busan have volunteered as supporters.

The Busan Metropolitan Office of Education held the "106th National Sports Festival Parents Supporters Launch Ceremony" on September 8 at the main auditorium of the Busan Education Research and Information Institute. This launch event brought together parents and the Office of Education to ensure the successful hosting of the National Sports Festival, which will be held in Busan from October 17 to 23 for the first time in 25 years.

Superintendent Kim Seokjun stated, "The activities of the parent supporters will serve as an opportunity to reaffirm the values of the educational community," and added, "I ask for your active participation in creating a healthy cheering culture and ensuring the successful hosting of the National Sports Festival."

During the appointment ceremony, Ko Okyeong, President of the Busan School Steering Committee Council, and Na Heejeong, President of the Busan City Parent Association, received appointment certificates as representatives.

During the festival, the supporters will assist with game operations, guide spectators, and help spread a positive cheering culture. They will also collaborate with student supporters and the teacher-student mentoring press corps to enhance the atmosphere on site and expand the impact of physical education.
