Gyeonggi Province is accepting applications for participants in the 3rd "Dad's Table with Stories" Cooking Contest, which will be held on October 18. Applications are open until September 26.
Organized by the Gyeonggi Food Education Support Center, the contest will take place at the Gyeonggi Food Plaza in Suwon. The event aims to promote a culture of fathers and children cooking together and to provide children with delicious and healthy meals using seasonal ingredients produced in Gyeonggi Province.
To apply, a team consisting of a father and his child (elementary, middle, or high school students, including 7-year-old preschoolers) must submit their "family cooking story" and "cooking method of the planned dish" via email to the Gyeonggi Food Education Support Center (ggfoodedunet@naver.com) by September 26.

The contest will be conducted with 15 teams selected through a preliminary document review.
Gyeonggi Province will award one team the grand prize, three teams the excellence prize, and eleven teams the encouragement prize. All teams advancing to the finals will receive prizes such as electric bicycles.
Meanwhile, last year's grand prize, "Dad's Best Gyeonggi Table," was awarded to "Muni's Kitchen Team" for their "Moist Rice Nurungji Canape," a dish featuring tender chop steak and vegetables atop crispy rice nurungji, designed to be eaten in a single bite.
