JTBC's New Friday Series "My Youth" Filmed in Pohang Premieres on September 5
Pohang's Iconic Landmarks Featured Throughout the Drama, Strengthening Its Brand as a Tourist City

Pohang City participated as a major filming location for JTBC's new Friday series "My Youth," which premiered on September 5, providing an opportunity to promote the region's tourism resources and urban charm both domestically and internationally.

"My Youth" stars Song Joongki (as Sun Woohae) and Chun Woohee (as Sung Jeyeon), and depicts the excitement and pain of first love, as well as the growth and healing of two people who meet again.

This 12-episode drama delicately unravels the characters' stories as it moves between past and present, combining elements of romantic comedy and healing to deliver both laughter and emotional resonance.

Immediately after its first broadcast, the show's emotional cinematography and the poignant relationships between characters attracted significant attention and received an enthusiastic response from viewers.

Upcoming episodes will feature Pohang's iconic tourist attractions, including Janggi, Songdo, and Guryongpo coasts, the Railway Forest, Yeongildae Pavilion on the sea, and the Marine Skywalk, which are expected to further enrich the atmosphere of the drama.

Through this, Pohang's lyrical seascapes and unique locations will be naturally introduced, offering viewers a fresh visual experience.

Pohang City expects that by supporting the production, it will increase domestic and international exposure of major attractions and raise awareness of its tourist destinations. Furthermore, the city plans to continue collaborating on drama productions to strengthen the brand image of "Pohang, the K-Drama Filming City," and to contribute to attracting tourists and revitalizing the local economy.

Lee Sanghyun, head of the Tourism Convention City Promotion Headquarters, said, "It is meaningful to showcase Pohang's charm once again through this drama," adding, "We will continue to attract various video content to establish Pohang as a leading tourist city."

JTBC's new Friday series "My Youth" airs every Friday at 8:50 p.m. with two consecutive episodes. In Korea, it is available on Coupang Play, and internationally, it can be viewed on Viu, Rakuten Viki, and Japan's Fuji TV OTT platform FOD.
