NH Investment & Securities announced on September 8 that it has launched the "N2 Trustway Living Trust," a customized inheritance management service for clients.
The living trust is a product in which clients enter into a trust agreement with the securities company. During the client's lifetime, they receive funds for living expenses and other uses, while after their death, the designated beneficiaries inherit the assets. Through this agreement, clients can entrust a variety of assets, including cash, real estate, and securities, ensuring stable asset management and enabling swift and accurate inheritance execution, which helps prevent inheritance disputes.
The living trust offers three main advantages: simplicity, flexibility, and continuity. While a will requires complicated procedures such as notarization and authentication, the living trust becomes effective simply by signing the agreement. Additionally, whereas a standard will requires revocation and rewriting to make changes, a trust allows for easy modifications through contract amendments. Furthermore, unlike a will, which allows only a primary beneficiary, the living trust enables the designation of successive beneficiaries, facilitating intergenerational asset succession.
NH Investment & Securities provides tailored, comprehensive consulting for each client, including tax-saving strategies from professional tax accountants and inheritance planning and contract drafting support from dedicated attorneys. In particular, leveraging its strength in one-on-one asset management compared to banks, the company plans to offer services that thoroughly consider not only the client’s asset status but also family relationships. NH Investment & Securities holds the highest credit rating (AA+) among domestic securities firms, ensuring stability in trust asset management as well.
Lee Jaekyung, Executive Vice President and Head of Retail Business at NH Investment & Securities, stated, "As the number of single-person households increases and the aging population intensifies, the need for retirement asset management and prevention of inheritance disputes is growing." He added, "By internalizing dedicated attorneys in our Private Deal Solutions Division, as well as professional tax accountants and real estate specialists in our Tax Center, we will provide customized consulting solutions for high-net-worth individuals."
