Muju County to Hold Lee Yoonseung Mountain Photography Exhibition Until the 25th

The exhibition of resident artists at the Chilyeon Art Museum, part of the Muju Art Creation Studio in North Jeolla Province, has been well received.

On September 5, Muju County announced that a mountain photography exhibition by artist Lee Yoonseung, themed "Whispers of Winter in Deogyusan," will be held until the 25th.

This exhibition offers a glimpse into the moments the artist encountered while climbing Deogyusan covered in winter snow. The exhibition features a total of approximately 30 works, capturing the artist's perspective, emotions, and the passage of time as seen in the snow-covered ridges and frost-laden forests of Deogyusan.

Artist Lee Yoonseung stated, "Winter in Deogyu is not just a landscape, but a warm comfort that embraces the heart," adding, "I hope you can forget the heat for a moment as you listen to the whispers of winter in Deogyusan."

Lee Yoonseung previously served as the 5th and 6th president of the Korea Mountain Photographers Association. He is currently the chairman of the Muju County Tourism Council, president of the Muju County Photographers Association, and a resident artist at the Muju Art Creation Studio.

From 2009 to 2024, he participated in about 30 group exhibitions held in mountain regions such as Jirisan, Seoraksan, Deogyusan, Woraksan, Juwangsan, and Songnisan. He also took part in exhibitions supporting the Muju WTF World Taekwondo Championships and the Pyeongchang Winter Olympics.

Meanwhile, the resident artist exhibition at the Chilyeon Art Museum of Muju Art Creation Studio will run until March next year. "Pillars Embracing Light," a sculptural ceramics exhibition by artist Na Unchae, was held from August 12 to 31. An upcoming linen doll exhibition by artist An Youngok will take place from October 15 to 31, followed by "Peeking," a Korean painting exhibition by artist Sun Hwandoo from November 7 to 30. The Chilyeon Group Exhibition (resident artist group exhibition) is scheduled to begin on December 5.
