According to the Seo-gu Council on September 4, the operation of the Civil Complaint Communication Room serves as a bridge that quickly connects residents' inconveniences to the administration, significantly shortening the time required to resolve daily complaints.

Rather than simply receiving complaints, the system has been established so that council members visit the site themselves or communicate directly with complainants and monitor the problem-solving process, which has led to high resident satisfaction. As of the end of August this year, a total of about 40 complaints have been received, of which 37 have been resolved.

Representative cases include: ▲repairing damaged roads in Nongseong-dong; ▲improving noise issues in the community sports center program room in Pungam-dong; ▲strengthening crackdowns on illegal parking in Geumho-dong in response to related complaints; and ▲promoting environmental improvements at the site of blocked road drains in Maewol-dong.

Recently, the council also received complaints from future residents of a new apartment complex in Hwajeong-dong, held two meetings at the council with the relevant district office department (Architecture Division) and the prospective residents, and conducted an on-site visit during the July session.

As a result, the designated move-in period was extended from the original one month to two months, and support measures for moving were arranged, thereby ensuring greater convenience for the new residents. The Civil Complaint Communication Room is open to all residents, who can participate by visiting in person, calling, or using the internet.

Jeon Seungil, Chairperson of the Seo-gu Council, stated, "The Civil Complaint Communication Room is an open space where council members and residents meet directly to share opinions and find solutions together. Going forward, we will continue to promptly resolve issues closely related to residents' daily lives, enhance resident satisfaction, and realize field-oriented legislative activities."
