Signiel Seoul’s 30-Year Master Pastry Chef Sungjoo Na Receives Presidential Citation for Vocational Competency Month

Recognized for Contributions to the Advancement of Korea’s Pastry and Bakery Industry

Lotte Hotel & Resorts announced on September 4 that Sungjoo Na, Pastry Chef at Signiel Seoul, received the Presidential Citation at the 29th Vocational Competency Month ceremony, organized by the Ministry of Employment and Labor and the Human Resources Development Service of Korea.

With over 30 years of experience in the bakery industry, Chef Na was recognized for his creative skills and passion, which have elevated the status of the domestic pastry and bakery sector and contributed to nurturing future talent and discovering new professionals. He currently oversees the bakery at Signiel Seoul, enhancing the quality of the hotel’s bakery offerings through menu development and research.

Recently, he was selected as a member of the “Hotel Ambassador” group, a team of job experts at Lotte Hotel & Resorts, where he shares his expertise and experience, fostering a culture of growth and mutual learning within the organization.

Chef Na stated, “I believe this Presidential Citation is a meaningful recognition of the time and passion I have devoted to doing what I love. Going forward, I will continue to present products of the highest quality and new value, while also focusing on nurturing junior talent and advancing the pastry industry to further raise the profile of K-Bakery.”
