Hygiene and Safety Management Strengthened at Restaurants and Lodging Facilities

Gwangsan District in Gwangju announced on September 3 that it will operate a hygiene and safety management situation room for the convenience of visitors during the "2025 Gwangju World Archery Championships (Para Archery)," which will be held starting on September 5.

To create a pleasant environment at restaurants and lodging facilities and to strengthen hygiene and safety management, the district will assign dedicated personnel in teams of two every day from September 4 until the end of the event on September 28. They will inspect the operation of food service establishments and lodging businesses, and in the event of any inconvenience, hygiene issues, or food safety accidents, they will promptly notify relevant authorities to ensure a swift response.

Previously, starting last month, the district conducted preliminary inspections of 320 food service establishments and 2 designated lodging facilities. Training sessions were also held for workers on food safety management and public hygiene regulations.

In addition, to ensure the success of the event, 810 citizen supporters will be mobilized. These supporters will engage in various activities during the championships, such as cheering, guiding athletes, and volunteering.
