"China Gained Freedom Through American Sacrifice, Must Remember"
"Kim Jong Un and Putin's Attendance Not a Threat to the U.S.," Trump Dismisses Concerns

President Donald Trump of the United States commented on the 80th anniversary military parade commemorating China's Victory Day, saying, "Please send my warm regards to Vladimir Putin, President of Russia, and Kim Jong Un, Chairman of the State Affairs Commission of North Korea, who are conspiring against the United States." On September 3, after the parade began, President Trump posted on his social media platform, Truth Social, "I wish President Xi Jinping and the wonderful people of China a meaningful and memorable day of celebration," adding, "Please send my regards to President Vladimir Putin and Chairman Kim Jong Un, who are conspiring against the United States."

President Trump stated, "The biggest question is whether President Xi will mention the tremendous support and the 'blood' that the United States provided to defend China's freedom from foreign invaders during this commemoration." He pointed out, "Many Americans lost their lives on the path to China's victory and glory." He emphasized, "Their bravery and sacrifice deserve to be honored and remembered."

Previously, President Trump had stated that he was not concerned about this Victory Day event. During a press conference held at the White House the previous day, when asked whether the attendance of Chairman Kim Jong Un and President Vladimir Putin at China's military parade posed a threat, he dismissed the concern, saying, "No." He continued, "China needs the United States, and we are in a much stronger position than China needs us," adding, "I also have a very good relationship with President Xi Jinping."

In an interview on the "Scott Jennings Radio Show," also released on the same day, President Trump was asked whether he was concerned about China and Russia forming an alliance against the United States. He replied, "I am not worried at all." He added, "We have the most powerful military in the world, and they will never use their military against us. Trust me."

North Korea, China, and Russia's Leaders Gather Together for the First Time in 66 Years

Meanwhile, during this event, the leaders of North Korea, China, and Russia appeared together in public. It has been 66 years since the leaders of these three countries gathered in one place, the last time being in 1959 during the Soviet era. On this day, Chairman Kim Jong Un entered the venue alone, wearing a suit with a white tie instead of his usual People's Suit, and was not accompanied by his daughter Kim Ju Ae. President Putin wore a red tie and was the last to arrive at the venue.
