This event was prepared as part of the "Hope Commercial District Project," a public contest initiative by Gyeonggi Province, and was designed to revitalize the stagnant Jangheung commercial district and promote the region externally.

During the festival, more than 2,500 visitors attended the venue, enjoying a variety of performances, abundant food, and attractions in the natural setting where a valley flows.

The opening ceremony on the first day began with a calligraphy performance symbolizing Seokhyeon Valley, Jangheung's representative tourist resource. The following "Residents' Singing Contest" received an enthusiastic response as both citizens and tourists participated together. On the second day, dance teams selected through a prior contest competed, continuing the festival's excitement.

In particular, both the "Residents' Singing Contest" and the "Dance Competition" were conducted through on-site audience voting, allowing visitors to directly participate and creating an immersive atmosphere where the audience became the main protagonists of the festival.

Meanwhile, a food court operated from 2 p.m. to 11 p.m., offering 13 different types of food to enhance the festival's flavors, and an exhibition space for local Jangheung artists was also set up, adding a unique cultural and artistic touch to the event.

Kang Suhyeon, Mayor of Yangju, stated, "This festival has become more than just an event; it has served as a practical opportunity to promote the Jangheung commercial district." He added, "Based on the positive changes in the Jangheung area, such as the opening of the suburban railway and selection for various public projects, we will actively support Jangheung so that it can establish itself as a competitive neighborhood commercial district."
