The overseas market development team is a project that supports local small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) with limited export infrastructure in entering overseas markets through one-on-one consultations with buyers. Yeoju City and the Gyeonggi-do Economic Science Promotion Agency provide support for buyer recruitment, interpretation, airfare, and more, and have been implementing this initiative every year to achieve tangible export results for local SMEs.
From August 24 to August 30, Yeoju City operated the "2025 Middle East Overseas Market Development Team" in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, and Istanbul, T?rkiye, conducting a total of 21 export consultations.
Participating companies expressed their optimism, stating, "Through consultations with local buyers, we were able to directly confirm the trends and demand in the Middle Eastern market, bringing us closer to advancing overseas."
Lee Chungwoo, Mayor of Yeoju City, said, "I hope that the dispatch of this market development team will serve as an opportunity for local SMEs to advance into the global market and achieve further growth," adding, "Yeoju City will continue to actively implement support policies that benefit companies in the future."
