This workshop was part of the Paran Sadari project organized by the Ministry of Education and the Korea Student Aid Foundation, providing an opportunity for students who completed overseas training to share their activity outcomes and learning experiences.
A total of 28 students selected from various majors, including the Department of Nursing, Department of Mechanical Engineering, Department of Physical Therapy, Department of Radiology, Department of Health Administration, Department of Clinical Laboratory Science, and Department of Electrical Engineering, participated in the workshop.
These students completed major- and work-related programs and intensive language training at Phoenix Academy in Perth, Australia, and Berjaya University College in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. They also developed their global competencies through visits to local universities and industries, as well as cultural exchange activities.
The event proceeded in the following order: opening ceremony, president’s welcoming remarks, student achievement presentations, sharing of reflections, and awards for outstanding teams. During the achievement presentations, each team shared their project results and local activity experiences. The participating students drew attention by presenting what they learned through collaboration, practical examples on the theme of sustainability, and their global cultural experiences.
Kim Jooan, a student from the Department of Nursing, said, "While working on projects with students from various majors during the training in Australia, I was able to once again recognize the importance of collaboration. I believe this will greatly help me grow into a globally-minded professional nurse."
Kim Taekyung, Director of International Cooperation, stated, "This Paran Sadari program went beyond simple overseas training and became an opportunity for students to build confidence on the global stage and gain firsthand experience with diverse cultures and academic fields. We will further expand exchanges with overseas universities and institutions to provide students with more opportunities to strengthen their global competencies."
Dong-Eui University of Science is striving to enhance its global competitiveness as a regionally based specialized university through a variety of internationalization programs, such as global field training and Cheonghaejin University. Based on these efforts, the university plans to further strengthen the quality of its overseas training programs in the future.
