Celebrating its 11th edition this year, the Gwangju Design Biennale is the world’s first design biennale and serves as an international art festival encompassing both design and culture.

Toss is participating as the only financial platform in this year’s exhibition. It will present an exhibition space that reinterprets its philosophy of "equal finance for everyone" from the perspective of inclusive design.

The interactive exhibition "Everyone's World, Each One's Tool," operated by Toss, can be found in Exhibition Hall 2 at the Gwangju Biennale Exhibition Hall.

The exhibition features interview videos with five visually impaired individuals from various professions, including a teacher, a painter, and a swimmer. The videos showcase how they connect with the world and demonstrate their expertise through different tools.

The Universal Design Team, which planned the exhibition, is an organization that creates Toss’s user interface (UI) to be accessible to everyone, regardless of individual characteristics such as disability or age.

In particular, the team designs an inclusive user experience (UX) that enables both visually impaired and non-visually impaired users to access the same financial services through the use of screen reader technology, which reads out information displayed on the screen.

Led by the Universal Design Team, Toss continues to drive technological and cultural changes and efforts to improve accessibility.

These efforts include the development of "Ally," an automated system that incorporates accessibility from the service design stage; publishing "Screen Reader News" to inform users about updates to screen reader features; and collaborating with visually impaired consultants to improve around 100 accessibility issues each month.

A Toss representative stated, "Accessibility is not a separate feature for people with disabilities, but a bridge that allows everyone to naturally share the same services," adding, "We will create the easiest financial service so that anyone can take charge of their finances without complicated explanations or assistance from others."
