Recruitment Open Until September 12
Small Business Owners Sought for 2025 Malaysia Global Showroom
Direct Sales and B2B Opportunities in Kuala Lumpur This December
The Ministry of SMEs and Startups and the Small Enterprise and Market Service announced on August 29 that they are recruiting small business owners to participate in the ‘2025 Malaysia Global Showroom.’
The Global Showroom is a program designed to support small business owners’ offline entry into global markets through overseas platforms. The Malaysia showroom is scheduled to be held in Kuala Lumpur this December. Small business owners selected for the showroom will be able to sell their products directly to consumers through a local pop-up store and gain B2B transaction opportunities through buyer meetings. Participation is also possible by shipping products locally without having to travel to Malaysia to operate the pop-up store in person.
Eligible applicants are small business owners who have experience selling on overseas platforms or possess products that can be exported or sold internationally. Recruitment will focus on K-lifestyle products such as cosmetics and food.
A total of 30 companies will be selected. Companies with halal certification recognized by Malaysian authorities will be given preferential consideration during the evaluation process. Applications can be submitted through the official Small Business 24 website until September 12, and no additional applications will be accepted after the deadline. Detailed information can be found on the Small Enterprise and Market Service website and in the recruitment announcement.
Park Sunghyo, Chairman of the Small Enterprise and Market Service, stated, “The Global Showroom will serve as a platform to promote outstanding products from domestic small businesses overseas and expand export opportunities. We will provide comprehensive support, including local market analysis and buyer matching, to ensure that small business owners aspiring to go global receive substantial assistance.”
