With an affordable monthly rent of 10,000 won and essential home appliances provided, the housing has received an enthusiastic response from young people and newlyweds.
A young resident who attended the opening ceremony said, "Having a stable place to live has given me the courage to prepare for the future," adding, "Citizens expect that the influx of young people will bring new vitality to the local community."
The city plans not only to provide housing but also to create a virtuous cycle by linking local job creation and settlement support policies, enabling young people to settle down stably.
Mayor Choi Kyungsik stated, "Pium House will serve as a stable starting point for rest and opportunity, allowing young people to take on challenges without hesitation in the face of uncertain beginnings." He added, "Namwon City will stand by the youth so that their 'start' can lead to 'settlement.'"
