Enhancing Data Value in the AI Era
The Insurance Development Institute (KIDI) announced on August 28 that it will host the '2025 KIDI Insurance Future Forum' under the theme of the convergence of artificial intelligence (AI) and insurance, which is reshaping the insurance industry.
The Insurance Future Forum, organized by the Insurance Development Institute, serves as a global platform for information exchange, where domestic and international experts gather to share strategies for addressing the latest issues in the insurance industry. This year marks the fifth edition of the forum. The event will take place on September 12 at the FKI Tower Conference Center in Yeongdeungpo-gu, Seoul.
This year's forum will feature global AI experts from organizations such as the Insurance Development Institute, the National Association of Insurance Commissioners (NAIC) in the United States, Amazon Web Services, IBM, and Milliman, who will present innovative cases of AI-driven transformation in the insurance sector.
The NAIC, which will deliver the keynote speech at the forum, will address the issue of bias in AI models from a regulatory perspective. The organization plans to discuss international efforts to establish AI governance and the direction of future regulations as solutions to this challenge.
The Insurance Development Institute will present its own cases of data innovation at each stage of the data value chain (collection, analysis, utilization, and reproduction) under the theme of "New Value Created by Data in the AI Era," highlighting ways to enhance the value of data utilization.
Amazon Web Services (AWS) will introduce real-world case studies of insurers modernizing their core systems using AWS, under the theme "Modernization of Core Systems Based on AWS," to meet evolving customer expectations and market demands.
IBM will deliver a speech on "The Future and Strategy of the Insurance Industry in the AI Era," while Milliman Consulting will present practical guidelines for the successful adoption of generative AI by insurers, including strategies for risk mitigation.
