Korea Hydro & Nuclear Power Gori Nuclear Power Headquarters (headed by Lee Sangwook) announced that Shin Gori Unit 1 (pressurized water reactor type, 1 million kW class) began scheduled preventive maintenance at 2:00 p.m. on August 27.
During this scheduled preventive maintenance period, which will run until October 5, Gori Nuclear Power Headquarters plans to enhance the reliability of the nuclear power plant by conducting precision inspections of the turbine generator, fuel removal and reloading, inspections of the emergency diesel generator (EDG) and its auxiliary systems, statutory inspections in accordance with the Nuclear Safety Act and the Electric Utility Act, as well as inspections and improvements of major equipment and systems.
