Starting from the 1st of next month, SSG.com will begin its instant delivery service at 19 Emart stores located in the Seoul metropolitan area, as well as in regional cities such as Chungcheong, Daegu, and Busan. The company plans to expand the service nationwide in the future.

In Seoul, the service will initially be available at Wangsimni, Mapo, Eunpyeong, Wolgye, Hawolgok, Jayang, Mokdong, Sinwol, Guro, Yeoksam, Cheonho, and Garden 5 branches. In Gyeonggi Province, it will be offered at Dongtan, Suwon, and West Suwon branches. In the Chungcheong region, Cheonan and Cheonan Terminal branches will participate, while in Daegu and Busan, Suseong and Munhyeon branches will be included, respectively.

The BaroQuick service delivers orders within a 3-kilometer radius of each Emart store using motorcycles from delivery agencies. The minimum order amount is 20,000 won, and a delivery fee of 3,000 won will be charged. Ordered items are packed in separate bags at the Emart store. Refrigerated and frozen items are delivered with dedicated ice packs and in separate pouches. Customers can track their delivery status through the SSG.com app and receive push notifications.

Orders can be placed from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. via the dedicated BaroQuick section on the main screen of the SSG.com app. However, some stores accept orders only until 9 p.m. Products eligible for BaroQuick delivery are marked with a special icon.

The service offers a total of around 6,000 products. Fresh and processed foods, Emart's private brands such as Peacock and 5K PRICE groceries, and daily necessities are available. Customers can also order ready-to-eat foods prepared at Emart stores, such as gimbap, sushi, skewers, and fried chicken, as well as household items for the kitchen and bathroom, stationery and office supplies, beauty and fashion products, small home appliances, and pet supplies. The product selection will continue to expand in the future.

SSG.com aims to drive platform growth by providing consumers with a variety of delivery options. Previously, SSG.com introduced 'SSG Delivery' for same-day delivery and 'Star Delivery' guaranteeing next-day arrival. By adding the instant 'BaroQuick' service, the company seeks to further strengthen its delivery competitiveness.

Recently, quick commerce has emerged as a new competitive edge in the retail industry. According to global market research firm Statista, the domestic quick commerce market, which is expected to reach 4.4 trillion won this year, is projected to grow to 5.9 trillion won by 2030.

Han Geonsu, head of SSG.com's Supply Chain Management, said, "Through Emart stores located throughout the country, customers can quickly receive products with high consumer preference," adding, "We will continue to expand rapid delivery services in phases, reflecting demand in each region."
