The delegation officially visited the National University of Singapore School of Continuing and Lifelong Education (NUS SCALE) and The People's Association.
NUS SCALE is an institution launched in June 2016 to provide lifelong learning for young people, working professionals, and businesspeople. It develops and operates a variety of programs in cooperation with 16 faculties and colleges within NUS, offering practical, industry-driven education through a curriculum based on industry demand.
The People's Association is a statutory board under the Singapore government established in 1960, aimed at promoting integration in a multi-ethnic society and strengthening social cohesion. The delegation examined the operational structure of community-based organizations on site and experienced how volunteer-centered programs are planned and how resident-tailored services are provided.
Mayor Kyunghee Kim stated, "Through this official visit, we were able to directly observe practical cases of Singapore's lifelong education and community integration policies and explore possibilities for cooperation with related domestic institutions." She added, "We will work to expand exchanges and establish a foundation for policy cooperation in the fields of education and community between the two countries in the future."
