Chungnam Development Corporation Provides 100 Million Won in Support to Flood-Affected Residents

Chungnam Development Corporation announced on August 27 that it will provide a total of 100 million won to support the stabilization of daily life for Chungnam residents affected by the heavy rainfall in July and to help restore the local economy.

This support fund has been delivered to both the Chungnam Credit Guarantee Foundation and the Community Chest of Korea, with 50 million won allocated to each organization.

The Chungnam Credit Guarantee Foundation will use the funds for its disaster special guarantee program, providing necessary financial support to help approximately 140 small business owners and socially vulnerable individuals affected by the flooding recover from the disaster.

The Community Chest of Korea will use the support for relief activities for residents and to assist with recovery efforts.

President Kim Byungkeun stated, "We decided to provide this support to share in the pain of residents who suffered significant damage from the recent heavy rains," adding, "We will do our utmost to help everyone return to their daily lives as soon as possible."

Meanwhile, last month, Chungnam Development Corporation visited flood-damaged farms in Asan to participate in recovery efforts and continues to engage in community-based volunteer activities every year, such as helping with farm work and improving housing conditions for vulnerable groups.
