8-Week Mentoring Project with Design Majors
Proposing Future-Oriented Furniture Solutions such as Island Kitchens

Hanssem announced on the 27th that it held the final presentation and completion ceremony for the design industry-academia cooperation program 'Korea Design Membership Plus (KDM+)' at its headquarters in Sangam, Mapo-gu, Seoul, the previous day.

Korea Design Membership Plus (KDM+), organized by the Korea Institute of Design Promotion (KIDP), is a design membership program that selects promising students from across the country and nurtures them into practical designers through a variety of company-linked educational experiences. Since last year, Hanssem has participated in the program to support the growth of design talents who will lead future industries through KDM+ mentoring, and to gain new inspiration from the students' fresh perspectives and ideas.

This year's KDM+ was held under the theme of 'The Evolution of Furniture Connecting Lifestyles.' Twelve university students majoring in design from across the country participated in the eight-week program, where, under the mentorship of Hanssem's professional designers, they proposed future-oriented furniture solutions for changing lifestyles in four assignments: island kitchens, multi-tables, smart dressing tables, and kids' bunk beds and storage cabinets.

A Hanssem representative said, "We hope this provided an opportunity for students, who will be responsible for design in various industries in the future, to grow through vivid practical experience."
