The event was attended by a diverse group of participants, including local community activists, council members from Seo-gu, Buk-gu, and Gwangsan-gu, staff from Wonju City Hall and Gwangju Metropolitan City Hall, as well as employees from relevant district offices.

The forum was chaired by Professor Hanwoori from the Chonnam National University Institute of Humanities, and began with presentations by Kwak Geunyeong, Secretary-General of the Dong-gu Hope Creative Center, and Kim Giwon, Team Leader of the Wonju City Women's Policy Team.

This was followed by discussions and a Q&A session, during which participants actively debated the positive effects of utilizing community spaces and the necessity of exchange and cooperation spaces to promote gender equality.

As a panelist, Assemblyman MiSeop Oh introduced various gender equality policy initiatives currently being implemented in Seo-gu, such as the establishment of gender statistics, father care programs, and women's safety measures. He emphasized the need for active discussions to enhance gender sensitivity within community activities.

He further stressed, "To create a long-term and stable gender-equal society, it is essential to have sustainable hubs for ongoing communication. We must build a healthy gender-equal society through communication among organizations grounded in a sense of community."

He added, "I will continue to work toward making Seo-gu a place where all genders can be happy, through various activities aimed at enhancing gender sensitivity."

Meanwhile, through his ninth term in office, Assemblyman Oh has improved systems to enhance the effectiveness of "gender-sensitive budgeting."

He has also been actively engaged in legislative activities for gender equality, including building systems for gender mainstreaming policies, supporting and preventing violence against women, preventing digital sex crimes, and researching ways to advance gender policies. In recognition of these efforts, he received the "Gender Equality Policy Award" from the Local Autonomy Development Center.
