Four Teams from Sun Moon University Advance to Finals of Korea's Largest Student Startup Competition

Active Support Planned for Finalist Teams through RISE Project

The Sun Moon University Regional Innovation-led University Support System (RISE) Project Group announced on August 27 that three student startup clubs and one joint club have advanced to the finals of the "2025 Student Startup Promising Teams 300+ (U300)," the largest student startup competition in Korea.

This nationwide startup competition is hosted by the Ministry of Education and organized by the National Research Foundation of Korea and the Korea Entrepreneurship Foundation for Youth. Sun Moon University achieved outstanding results in the "Growth Track (A)" category, with four teams selected among the 50 final teams from the Chungcheong region.

Out of the five teams that participated, four advanced to the finals-a remarkable achievement attributed to the focused consulting and systematic support provided by the Startup Education Center. The teams advancing to the finals are the startup clubs Symter, sAI, and TOOTHer, as well as the joint club OCIAL.

Going forward, Sun Moon University plans to actively support the finalist teams by providing various follow-up programs, including prototype production and marketing support, based on the RISE project, to help students transition to actual entrepreneurship.

Kwon Jinbaek, head of the RISE Project Group, emphasized, "This achievement is the result of the students' continuous efforts," and added, "We will continue to develop step-by-step entrepreneurship education and strive to foster outstanding entrepreneurial talent and spread a culture of student entrepreneurship, so that the university can serve as a new bridgehead for startups."
