At this meeting, three agenda items related to the development of parks were reviewed, all aimed at improving the quality of life for citizens and expanding green spaces.
First, the "Chudong Neighborhood Park Development Plan Amendment (Draft)" is part of the Chudong Forest Garden Development Project. The plan includes the creation of a forest garden with features such as Sky Yard and themed gardens, allowing citizens to enjoy nature throughout all four seasons.
The second agenda item reviewed, the "Buyongsan Sports Park Initial Development Plan (Draft)," addresses the growing demand for recreational sports by including the installation of a park golf course. Through this, the city aims to provide a foundation for more citizens to easily participate in physical activities.
Lastly, the "Yonghyeon District Children's Park Initial Development Plan (Draft)" focuses on creating a safe and pleasant rest and play space for children and families, taking into account connections with nearby apartment complexes.
The three agenda items reviewed on this day will be finalized as park development plans after incorporating the committee members' opinions, and the details will be available on the city's website and the Toji-eum platform in September.
Deputy Mayor Kang Hyunseok said, "Through the Urban Park Committee, we will incorporate expert opinions from various fields to plan parks that citizens can enjoy comfortably and safely," adding, "We expect to provide improved urban park services that meet the needs of our citizens."
