Indie Music Festival "Muse On" to Open Next Month

Ten Rookie Teams and Eight Senior Teams to Perform
Six Days of Free Concerts in Hapjeong

The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Korea Creative Content Agency announced on August 26 that the Muse On Festival will be held for six days from September 2 to 7 at Mujinsa Garage in Hapjeong-dong, Seoul.

Indie Music Festival "Muse On" to Open Next Month

This is an indie music festival aimed at discovering new creative musicians. It selects rookie singer-songwriters who demonstrate musicality, popularity, and growth potential, and supports them with performances, promotions, and the release of digital singles and albums. From 2019 to last year, the festival discovered 95 musician teams. Many of them have since performed at major domestic music festivals or held solo concerts.

This year's event, under the theme "BREATHE MUSIC, LIVE FOREVER," will be an urban-style performance featuring both rookie musicians and past Muse On alumni. From September 2 to 6, each day will feature two rookie teams and one senior team on stage together, while on the final day, September 7, senior musicians will deliver the finale performance.

The ten rookie musicians performing on stage are Kim Pureum, Dayneverchange, Milena, Sim Island, Yangchigiboyz, Youngwave, Jangkiki, Can't Be Blue, Taejong, and Hwina. Senior musicians participating include Kim Ddeutdol, Kim Seungju, Lidoor, Yudabin Band, Yoonmachi, Jisoku Reclub, Touched, and Choi Yuri.

Lee Hyunju, Director of the Content IP Promotion Division at the Korea Creative Content Agency, said, "We aim to strengthen the self-sustainability of Korean indie music and pave the way for its expansion as global K-content."

Performances start at 7:30 p.m. on weekdays and at 5:00 p.m. on weekends. Admission is free.
