"President Lee Falls Out of Favor with Trump"

Attorney Shin Pyung, known as a mentor to former President Yoon Sukyeol, conveyed Yoon's prediction that "the Lee Jaemyung administration will not last more than a year." This is interpreted to mean that the current administration's appointment of pro-China and anti-U.S. figures to key cabinet and party positions, as well as its continued pro-North Korea stance, would be difficult to tolerate in the international diplomatic arena. It is also suggested that the United States may feel betrayed and could become increasingly angered by these developments.
On the 24th, Attorney Shin posted an article titled "The Ominous Downturn of the Lee Jaemyung Administration" on his social media account. He stated, "Although the president's approval rating has not yet fallen below 50%, it is highly likely to do so soon," and added, "While it may be said that this administration is better than the Yoon Sukyeol government, the future looks even bleaker due to overlapping international factors."
He went on to mention the meeting between U.S. President Donald Trump and President Lee Jaemyung, saying, "It would not be surprising if President Trump were to publicly raise the issue of politically motivated human rights abuses against former President Yoon Sukyeol during their meeting." He continued, "Trump has already stated several times that the unfair treatment of former President Yoon must stop. However, the Lee Jaemyung administration is being swayed by hardliners and is moving in the opposite direction," he criticized.
"Yoon predicted Lee Jaemyung administration would last one year before being detained again...I was skeptical, but now I agree"
Attorney Shin reported that shortly before former President Yoon was detained again, he said, "I don't think the Lee Jaemyung administration will last more than a year." Shin admitted that, at the time, he was skeptical, but looking back now, it appears to have been a cold, analytical assessment.
Attorney Shin stated, "Domestically, economic indicators are declining and it is becoming increasingly difficult for businesses to operate, yet this government is moving in the opposite direction, wielding legislation such as the so-called 'Yellow Envelope Act' at will." He continued, "Without regard for the many dependents tied to these companies, the administration speaks too easily of the forced dissolution of businesses and pushes ahead with anti-business policies."
He added, "However, despite various factors, the most ominous element running beneath the surface is their hardline measures against former President Yoon and his wife. The case of former President Yoon is distinctly different from that of former President Park Geunhye. Public support for Yoon among the conservative camp in Korea is overwhelming."
In conclusion, he said, "This was clearly demonstrated during the recent People Power Party convention," and added, "Jang Donghyuk and Kim Minsu, who grew from the seeds he planted and have now become strong trees, as well as Jeon Hangil, who supported them in every way, are all representative figures nurtured by Yoon Sukyeol."
