The Hong Kong Ballet will visit Korea for the first time since its founding. "Romeo and Juliet," to be staged at the National Theater Haeoreum Grand Theater on September 26 and 27, is a reinterpretation of the classic by world-renowned choreographer Septime Webre, set against the backdrop of 1960s Hong Kong. Septime Webre is a celebrated choreographer who gained fame for his large-scale productions during his 16-year tenure as artistic director of The Washington Ballet. This performance presents a stage where winding alleyways, dazzling qipao, Prokofiev's music, and the dynamic energy of Chinese kung fu are woven together, creating a unique intersection of East and West.

Since its premiere, it has received enthusiastic acclaim from both audiences and critics, and in 2024, it won both the "Best Large-Scale Stage Performance Award" and the "Best Ensemble Performance Award" at the Hong Kong Dance Awards.
