Busan Bumin Hospital Holds "Osteoarthritis Health Class" for Local Residents

Busan Bumin Hospital (Director Choi Changhwa) announced on the 25th that it held an "Osteoarthritis Health Class" on the 21st in cooperation with the Buk-gu Public Health Center, targeting members of the Haha Maeul Health Center health group in Deokcheon 2-dong and Deokcheon 3-dong.

The Haha Maeul Health Center is operated as part of a resident empowerment education project promoted by Busan City, and contributes to community health promotion by providing practical health management methods.

This lecture was conducted by Kim Eunsung, head of the Rheumatology Department at Busan Bumin Hospital, who systematically explained the definition, main symptoms, causes, diagnostic process, and prevention and management methods of osteoarthritis.

Kim emphasized, "Osteoarthritis progression can be slowed with early diagnosis and consistent management, and improving lifestyle habits and maintaining a healthy weight are especially important. If joint pain or discomfort affects daily life, it is essential to consult a specialist."

Director Choi Changhwa stated, "We plan to continuously operate health classes on various topics so that local residents can correctly understand health information and enhance their self-management capabilities," adding, "We will continue to fulfill our role as a key hospital working together with the local community."

Busan Bumin Hospital holds regular health classes in the hospital on the second Thursday of every month, and in September, Lee Jungwoo, head of the Urology Department, is scheduled to give a lecture on "Urinary Incontinence Management."
