S1: "Logistics Tracking System Solves Misdelivery and Lost Item Issues"

S1's Logistics Tracking Solution
Reduces Losses from Misdeliveries and Missing Items
AI-Based Safety Monitoring Enhances Worker Protection

On August 25, S1 announced that its 'logistics tracking solution' designed to support the logistics industry has proven effective in reducing losses caused by misdeliveries and missing items.

The logistics tracking solution automatically records video footage with closed-circuit (CC)TV every time a barcode is scanned as a package passes along the conveyor belt. The recorded video is then stored and linked to the corresponding parcel's invoice number.

If an issue arises, entering the invoice number into a PC allows users to review the entire process the package underwent at the logistics center via video. This enables rapid identification of causes such as missing packaging or labeling errors, helping to minimize losses.

BGF Logistics, a logistics company, explained that after implementing this solution at its Geomdan Logistics Center, its logistics loss rate decreased by about 30% over the past two years, saving more than 100 million won annually.

S1 plans to deploy the logistics tracking solution at all 19 ambient temperature centers and partner logistics centers operated by BGF Logistics within this year, and will also conduct a pilot operation at one cold storage center. In the future, the system will be expanded to all BGF Logistics centers nationwide.

S1 also operates 'SVMS Safety Monitoring,' which uses artificial intelligence (AI) algorithms to prevent incidents and accidents.

SVMS Safety Monitoring uses AI algorithms to automatically detect fires, unauthorized entry into hazardous areas, and falls in real time at logistics centers, immediately sending alerts to the control center and managers. This helps prevent incidents and accidents, or enables a rapid response to prevent them from developing into serious industrial accidents.

An S1 representative stated, "Logistics centers are struggling to find solutions to reduce business losses from misdeliveries and missing items, as well as safety accidents involving workers," and added, "By supplying logistics center-specific solutions that secure both efficiency and safety, we aim to help address the challenges faced by the logistics industry."
