Gwangju Bukgu Mobilizes Full Support for Successful Hosting of 2025 Gwangju Design Biennale Gwangju Bukgu Government Office.

In line with the 11th Gwangju Design Biennale, Bukgu will implement 18 support initiatives across three major areas: ▲Culture and Tourism (8 projects), ▲Private Sector Cooperation (3 projects), and ▲Environmental Maintenance (7 projects). The project, themed 'Respect in Difference, Bukgu: The World That Is You,' aims to invigorate resident participation by offering a variety of cultural and tourism experiences.

In the culture and tourism sector, 'Media Facade Content' will be screened through December, and the 'Art Festival,' featuring exhibitions and hands-on programs by artists with and without disabilities, will be held at the Biennale Exhibition Hall's Geosigi Hall for four days starting October 20. Additionally, the 'Bukgu Promotion Center' will be set up as a rest area for visitors, offering activities such as making coloring postcards of Bukgu's eight scenic spots and providing tourism information. Special exhibitions of local artists' works will continue until November at the District Office Gallery and Jami Gallery, while cultural performances such as 'Small Concerts' and 'Healing Busking Day' will take place in urban parks.

At the Namdo Local Food Museum, the 'Adding Flavor' program will allow participants to make and taste traditional foods firsthand, with four sessions scheduled during the event period. Autumn flower pots will also be displayed along the entrance to the Biennale Exhibition Hall.

In the private sector cooperation area, Biennale ticket holders will receive a 10% discount on food and social enterprise products, and a 'Biennale Viewing Day' will be organized to encourage resident participation.

For environmental maintenance, the district will improve roads and remove illegal advertisements around the exhibition hall, manage public restrooms, and implement traffic measures to ensure a pleasant viewing environment.

District Mayor Moonin stated, "As the Gwangju Design Biennale is an international cultural and artistic event held in Bukgu, we will do our utmost to ensure its successful hosting."
