DGIST Opens 'Convergence Talent Education Center' to Foster Creative Problem-Solving Skills... Launches 'Science Creativity School'

DGIST (President Kunwoo Lee) officially launched the operation of the Convergence Talent Education Center by holding its opening ceremony on the 21st at the main auditorium of the Research Administration Building (R1). The event was attended by key figures, including DGIST President Kunwoo Lee, Dalseong County Governor Jaehoon Choi, and Dalseong County Council Chairperson Eunyoung Kim, who celebrated the establishment of the Convergence Talent Education Center dedicated to nurturing future talent.


The DGIST Convergence Talent Education Center aims to foster the next generation of talent equipped with creative problem-solving skills and a spirit of challenge through convergence education based on advanced science and technology. In particular, during its inaugural year, the center will open the 'Science Creativity School,' fully funded by Dalseong County, to provide local students with differentiated educational programs utilizing DGIST's outstanding facilities and faculty.

In his welcoming remarks, DGIST President Kunwoo Lee stated, "The DGIST Convergence Talent Education Center is not merely an educational space, but will become a cradle for nurturing future talent that embodies the values of creativity and challenge." He emphasized, "We will actively support students so they can develop the ability to identify and solve problems on their own by leveraging DGIST's educational and research capabilities."


In his congratulatory speech, Dalseong County Governor Jaehoon Choi said, "It is very meaningful that Dalseong County, together with DGIST, is opening a new chapter in nurturing future talent," and added, "The Convergence Talent Education Center will not only provide the best educational opportunities for local students, but also serve as an important stepping stone for Dalseong County to grow into a future science city."


Meanwhile, DGIST plans to further strengthen its convergence education and research capabilities with the opening of the center, solidifying its position as a hub for nurturing talent at a global level.
