Democratic Party Sejong City Branch Appoints Beomjong Park as New Chief Spokesperson

Highly Trusted Figure from Sejong’s Old Downtown Area

Democratic Party Sejong City Branch Appoints Beomjong Park as New Chief Spokesperson Beomjong Park, Chief Spokesperson of the Democratic Party of Korea Sejong City Branch.

With next year's local elections approaching, Beomjong Park has been appointed as the Chief Spokesperson of the Democratic Party of Korea Sejong City Branch. This position is directly under the branch chairperson and is responsible for publicly representing and communicating the stance of the Democratic Party's Sejong City Branch. Park, who is originally from the old downtown area of Sejong, is regarded as highly credible in external affairs.

On the 21st, Chairperson Junhyun Kang announced, "Beomjong Park, the current spokesperson, has been appointed as the new Chief Spokesperson." Chairperson Kang expressed gratitude for the dedication and hard work of the former Chief Spokesperson Hyunmi Kim, noting, "Despite difficult circumstances during the last presidential election, she led the public relations team stably and contributed to victory." He added, "I hope that the new Chief Spokesperson, Beomjong Park, will lead the spokesperson team and become an even more trusted channel of communication for citizens and party members."

With major local election preparations ahead, such as the launch of the Local Election Planning Group and the Evaluation Committee for Elected Officials, the branch has recognized the growing need to separate party and public offices to enhance fairness, objectivity, and transparency. The branch plans to continue minimizing the dual holding of appointed party positions by current elected officials.

The new Chief Spokesperson, Beomjong Park, stated, "With less than a year left until the local elections, I feel a heavy sense of responsibility." He added, "As the spokesperson is the face of the party and the voice of its members, I will strive to become a communication channel that is closer to Sejong citizens through careful operations and strategic message management."

He further explained, "To meet the era of party member sovereignty, we will operate the spokesperson team in a more detailed and systematic manner by recruiting party member spokespersons and establishing new deputy spokesperson positions, and we will strengthen communication with citizens and the media."

Chief Spokesperson Park, a graduate of Konkuk University's Graduate School of Real Estate, is a certified appraiser with expertise in the real estate sector. His understanding of policy issues and practical experience are considered his strengths. Since September last year, he has served as the spokesperson for the Sejong City Branch, handling media relations and coordinating commentary, and has previously served as Vice Chairperson of the Central Party Policy Committee and as Chairperson of the Sejong City Branch Youth Committee.
