To Be Held at Bukchon Hwigyeomjae from August 24 to September 15

The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Arts Management Support Center announced on August 21 that they will hold the excellent exclusive artist planned exhibition, "Dialogue: Unidentified Reception," at Bukchon Hwigyeomjae from August 24 to September 15.

The "Exclusive Artist Support Program" is a three-year initiative that has been ongoing since 2019, designed to help young and promising artists grow together with galleries in the art market. To date, 475 galleries and 900 exclusive artists have participated. Over six years, a cumulative total of 3,904 artworks have been sold, with total sales amounting to 11.5 billion won.


This exhibition will showcase works by 10 artists selected from among this year's 255 exclusive artists, all of whom show strong growth potential in the global market. Participating artists include Kim Yoonyoung, Kim Jimin, Park Yena, Shin Min, Lee Haeminseon, Jung Yujin, Jung Jaeyeon, Jo Isop, Choi Suryeon, and Choi Yunhee. A total of 68 works will be on display, including paintings, sculptures, and installations.


The exhibition catalog features 1:1 interviews between curators and artists. Based on these interviews, the curators explored and interpreted each artist's work from an in-depth artistic perspective. Participating curators include Bettina Sp?rr (Curator, Vienna Secession), Eseniya Vannan (Independent Curator), Iana Kim (Independent Curator), ?zge Ersoy (Head Curator, Asia Art Archive (AAA) Hong Kong), Natalie King (Professor of Visual Arts, University of Melbourne), Jody Graf (Assistant Curator, MoMA PS1), Kwon Sanghae (Curator, Museum of Contemporary Art Tokyo (MOT)), Kerstin Cheng (Curator, PODIUM Hong Kong), and Paul Clinton (Former Chief Editor, Frieze Magazine).


Kim Jangho, President of the Arts Management Support Center, stated, "We will continue to actively expand support so that both galleries and artists can thrive together."
