Suncheon City is participating in the '2025 Korea Accommodation Sale Festa', offering accommodation discounts of up to 50,000 won. This 'Accommodation Sale Festa', organized by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Korea Tourism Organization, will be held nationwide from August 20 to October 30.

Suncheon is a leading wellness tourism destination in Korea, boasting year-round attractions such as Suncheonman Wetland and Suncheonman National Garden. Additionally, the World Heritage Festival scheduled for September and the Olten-ga Festival to be held in October are set to take place. The city expects that the spectacular autumn scenes of silver grass and reeds, major festivals, and accommodation discounts will provide tourists with richer opportunities for extended stays.

For accommodations in Suncheon and other areas of South Jeolla Province, a discount of 50,000 won is offered for stays costing 70,000 won or more, and a discount of 30,000 won for stays costing less than 70,000 won. Compared to the standard discount rates in other non-metropolitan regions, tourists visiting Suncheon and South Jeolla Province will receive greater benefits. Reservations can be made through participating online travel agencies.

The separately operated 'Namdo Accommodation Discount BIG Event' can also be used. While the two events cannot be combined for the same stay, tourists can use the Accommodation Sale Festa on the first day and the Namdo BIG Event for the following days, resulting in substantial discounts for longer stays. When booking through the Jeonnam Tourism Platform app, guests can receive a discount of 40,000 won for stays of 100,000 won or more per night, 30,000 won for stays of 70,000 won or more, and 20,000 won for stays under 70,000 won.

An official from the city stated on August 21, "With the peak autumn season approaching, the Accommodation Sale Festa and the Namdo Accommodation Discount BIG Event will allow tourists visiting Suncheon to stay at reasonable costs," adding, "We hope visitors will enjoy the region's signature attractions such as Suncheonman Wetland and the National Garden, and remember Suncheon as a city where they want to stay even longer."
