Analyzing User Patterns of Individuals and Businesses
"AI-Based Job Matching Services to Launch Next Month"
The Ministry of Employment and Labor and the Korea Employment Information Service announced on August 20 that they have completely revamped the interface of Employment24, the integrated employment service platform, to mark its first anniversary.
This overhaul reflects user data and public feedback accumulated over the past year since the platform launched in September last year by integrating nine major employment service networks, including WorkNet. Unnecessary information has been reduced, while frequently used services are now prominently displayed, making the platform easier and more convenient for both individuals and businesses to use.
During the revamp, the Ministry and the Employment Information Service analyzed the behavioral and usage patterns of both individual and corporate members, conducted nationwide surveys, and consulted with experts. Through this process, they identified areas for improvement, such as the overly complex menu structure, the abundance of irrelevant information, and the difficulty users experienced in finding the services they wanted.
In response, they introduced a new main screen tailored to different stages of the employment lifecycle. Both individual and corporate members can now access 'frequently used services' organized according to their respective lifecycle stages, which are placed at the center of the screen for easier navigation. For individual members, the categories are divided into job preparation and job search, skill development and training, unemployment, and parental leave, among others.
The Ministry and the Employment Information Service also enhanced information accessibility by placing job and training information-services with high user demand-at the forefront, rather than less frequently used card-type content. The 114 employment policy support programs, previously presented in sentence form, have been redesigned with icons and key keywords to improve readability.
The screen now features a clean layout with bright pastel colors, creating a visually pleasant experience. Additionally, interactive effects have been added so that elements respond to user actions, such as enlarging and displaying more details when hovered over with the mouse, allowing users to interact directly with the interface.
Jo Jeongsuk, Director of Employment Support Policy at the Ministry, stated, "To provide employment support services that the public can truly feel, we will launch four new AI-based customized recruitment and job-seeking services on Employment24 next month," adding, "We aim to improve the convenience of job searching and recruitment, as well as the efficiency of job matching."
As of the end of last month, Employment24 had accumulated 11.7 million individual members and 500,000 corporate members over the past year. The platform sees an average of 1.05 million daily visitors, and the app has been downloaded more than 2.64 million times.
