Real Bulgogi, Not Just Sauce
Launch of Two New Products
On August 14, SPC announced that Shake Shack has launched two new products featuring bulgogi.
Unlike typical bulgogi burgers that are simply flavored with sauce, 'The Bulgogi Shack' stands out by adding real beef bulgogi to a premium Angus beef patty, highlighting the rich juiciness and flavor of the meat.
The 'The Bulgogi' series includes 'The Bulgogi Shack', which features a beef patty topped with melted Gouda cheese, beef bulgogi, and pickled vegetables for added texture, and 'The Bulgogi Dog', which combines grilled beef sausage, bulgogi mayo sauce, beef bulgogi, and pickled vegetables. Both items will be available as limited-time offerings at all Shake Shack locations until October 31.
To celebrate the launch, Shake Shack is also hosting a variety of events. Through the Shake Shack KakaoTalk channel, customers who purchase The Bulgogi Burger will receive a coupon for a set upgrade. Starting August 14, the Happy Point app will offer a random coupon event, giving customers who order the new products a chance to receive one free item among a ShackBurger, fries, or a small lemonade. On Shake Shack’s Instagram, events include a “power test” where the number of winners for The Bulgogi Shack voucher increases as more comments are posted on the new product video, as well as a new menu photo verification event.
An SPC Shake Shack representative stated, "The 'The Bulgogi' series, which reimagines the bulgogi burger with Shake Shack’s unique recipe, delivers a deep flavor through the combination of premium beef patty and beef bulgogi," adding, "We will continue to introduce a variety of local menu items to provide new and special experiences."
