Suwon City in Gyeonggi Province is launching the 'Saebitmaeul Primary Care Physician Home Medical Service' to provide home visit medical services to elderly individuals in vulnerable groups who have mobility difficulties.
On the 13th, Suwon City announced that it had signed a business agreement for the 'Saebitmaeul Primary Care Physician Home Medical Service' with the Suwon City Social Welfare Council and six home medical centers at the city hall situation room.
The participating institutions in this initiative are Gyeonggi Provincial Medical Center Suwon Hospital, Saenal Clinic (Suwon City Medical Welfare Social Cooperative), Ipbook Samsung Family Medicine Clinic, Home Doctor Preventive Medicine Clinic, Taengja Korean Medicine Clinic, and Seryu Central Korean Medicine Clinic.

According to the agreement signed on this day, Suwon City will oversee the project and support service referrals, monitoring, and public relations. The Suwon City Social Welfare Council will coordinate private sponsorship funds and manage service expenses. The six home medical centers will visit the homes of eligible individuals to provide medical consultations, medication guidance, health monitoring, dementia screening and management, and other healthcare services.
Until March of next year, Suwon City plans to provide this service to elderly individuals aged 65 or older who have mobility difficulties and meet certain criteria, including those with a household income at or below 150% of the median income, basic pension recipients, and national merit recipients. Elderly individuals who are in the medical blind spot, such as those who have not been designated for long-term care grades by the National Health Insurance Service, will also be eligible for the service.
