Seoul Mayor Oh Sehoon conducted an emergency inspection of the response situation at Jungnangcheon on the afternoon of the 13th, following the issuance of a flood advisory.
The Han River Flood Control Center issued the flood advisory at 1:10 p.m. that day, as the water level of Jungnangcheon continued to rise. As of 8 p.m., the Seoul Metropolitan Government has been maintaining Level 2 (Alert) emergency operations in response.

Mayor Oh stated, "Due to record-breaking heavy rainfall in a short period of time, rivers and roads throughout the city have been restricted," adding, "We will respond swiftly and thoroughly, prioritizing citizen safety to minimize damage."
He also urged, "I ask all citizens to pay close attention to weather advisories and guidance to prepare for potential damage."
