Residential Environment Improved for 22 Households, Including Those with Hoarding Disorder
20 Tons of Waste Processed, Customized Housing Welfare Enhanced
Busan Urban Corporation (BMC, President Shin Changho) and the Busan Metropolitan Government announced on August 13 that they have completed the 'Jeongrihaedeurim (DREAM) Home Staging Service' for the first half of this year and will actively push forward with a lifestyle-oriented residential environment improvement project in the second half.
The 'Jeongrihaedeurim Residential Regeneration Support Project' is a residential environment improvement program for vulnerable households in urgent need of better living conditions. It provides services such as ▲home staging, ▲minor home repairs, and ▲residential life support. This year, the project aims to support a total of 45 households.
In the first half of the year, support was provided for organizing, storage, disinfection, and pest control in 22 households across 11 districts, including 4 households suspected of hoarding disorder. The amount of waste processed on-site reached 20 tons.
In the second half, 23 households will receive support through 'minor home repair services'-such as wallpapering and flooring replacement-and, for the first time this year, 'residential life support services.' In particular, by collaborating with 'Village Management Social Cooperatives' in areas where home repair projects are underway, the program will offer detailed residential services such as ▲screen door replacement, ▲LED lighting installation, ▲electrical outlet replacement, and ▲silicone replacement, aiming for even more comprehensive environmental improvements.
President Shin Changho stated, "We will continue to expand customized regeneration services to improve the residential environment for vulnerable groups," and added, "We will do our utmost to make Busan a city where citizens are happy."
