"An Unprecedented Act of Violence in Constitutional History"
Kim Moonsoo, former Minister of Employment and Labor and a candidate for the leadership of the People Power Party, criticized the simultaneous detention of former President Yoon Suk Yeol and his wife on August 13, saying, "Blinded by political revenge, they have no regard for national dignity."
On his social media account that day, Kim claimed, "Lee Jaemyung's three major special prosecutors have committed the atrocity of detaining a former president and his spouse at the same time."
Kim further pointed out, "As soon as Cho Kuk and Chung Kyungshim were released, the authorities immediately detained the former president and his spouse," adding, "Such an unprecedented act of violence has taken place in our constitutional history."
He continued, "President Lee Jaemyung has halted all five of his own trials and is placing himself above the law," warning, "Before long, the people's anger will erupt like wildfire and engulf this tyranny."
