Lotte ON Launches AI-Based Personalized Beauty Discovery App "Twiz"

Lotte Shopping announced on August 12 that its e-commerce platform, Lotte ON, will officially launch a personalized beauty discovery application called "Twiz" on August 13. The app combines artificial intelligence (AI) recommendation technology with social networking service (SNS) trend analysis features.


"Twiz" was planned as an independent app to expand Lotte ON's beauty vertical business and to newly attract female customers from the MZ generation (Millennials and Generation Z).

The app name "Twiz" was inspired by the beauty tool "tweezer," reflecting the philosophy of selecting and providing only the most essential content from a vast array of beauty information.


The core feature is a user-customized interface (UI). Depending on the beauty profile set by the user-such as skin tone and skin type-the home screen's color and recommended keywords change in real time. For example, users with a spring warm tone will see a coral-colored interface and product recommendations, while those with a summer cool tone will be presented with light blue-themed personalized content. Additionally, on product pages, a suitability score for each item is displayed based on the user's profile information, allowing users to easily compare and select the products that best match their needs at a glance.


The app also features a real-time SNS trend exploration function. By analyzing popular posts, videos, and trending keywords on SNS using AI technology, Twiz recommends beauty content and products tailored to the user's interests-this is one of its key strengths.


Twiz is designed as a discovery-focused app. When users click on products they are interested in, they are automatically redirected to Lotte ON, seamlessly leading them to purchase. In the future, the company plans to develop brand advertising products and collaborate with emerging beauty brands to establish an independent revenue model unique to Twiz.


To celebrate the official launch of Twiz, Lotte ON will hold a giveaway event from August 13 to 24. Among customers who register for the app and agree to receive push notifications, one winner will be selected to receive the beauty device "Medicube Age-R Booster Pro."
