Special Exhibition Held in Unused First Floor Space of the Council Until September 30
The Gwangju Seogu Council (Chairperson Jeon Seungil) will hold a special exhibition titled 'Recording Seogu Exhibition' in the unused space on the first floor of the council building from August 18 to September 30.
According to the Seogu Council on August 12, a total of 20 artists, including Kang Jiyeon of the Gwangju Urban Sketch & Drawing Club, will participate in the exhibition, presenting sketches and drawings that capture various landscapes and everyday scenes of Seogu.
During the exhibition period, anyone visiting the Seogu Council can freely view the exhibition from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. every day except weekends and public holidays.
The Seogu Council plans to continue providing cultural relaxation and opportunities for communication to visitors and staff by utilizing unused spaces for exhibitions and other events, thereby supporting the creative activities of local artists and expanding cultural enjoyment opportunities for residents.
Chairperson Jeon Seungil stated, "I hope the council will become an open cultural space where residents and artists can meet and communicate, beyond just being a place for administration and politics," adding, "We will continue to create a resident-friendly council through various exhibitions and programs in collaboration with local artists."
