Chungnam Office of Education Begins Drafting 2026 Blueprint for Future Education

The Chungnam Office of Education announced on the 12th that it has officially begun formulating its '2026 Major Business Plan,' with the aim of strengthening students' future competencies and enhancing the public nature and accountability of education.

According to the Office of Education, this plan is being promoted to respond to the changing educational environment and to reflect the identity and future vision of Chungnam education.

The Office has established a policy cooperation system with external experts and the educational community to prepare for this initiative.

The 2026 Major Business Plan is scheduled to be completed in early December, following an internal evaluation, collection of public opinion, educational policy council meetings, and surveys of educational sites.

The basic structure will include general status, policy objectives, key initiatives, detailed tasks, and appendices.

On August 11, department heads of the Office of Education focused on reviewing and selecting the policy objectives and key initiatives prepared by the policy development team and advisory group at the policy council meeting.

Superintendent Kim Ji-cheol stated, "We will prepare for the transition to future education in 2026 by establishing open policies together with the educational community," adding, "We will provide ample support for projects that are truly needed in schools, while boldly reducing or phasing out projects that have become less necessary in order to ease the burden."
