President Lee Jae Myung held his first phone conversation with Dutch Prime Minister Dick Schoof since taking office on August 11.
Kang Yoo Jung, spokesperson for the presidential office, announced this in a written briefing on the same day. President Lee expressed his gratitude for Prime Minister Schoof's congratulations on his inauguration and stated, "As strategic partners and a semiconductor alliance, let us continue active communication at all levels to pursue more substantive cooperation between our two countries."
Spokesperson Kang explained, "The two leaders recognized the remarkable growth in various fields of bilateral relations in recent years, including trade and investment, artificial intelligence, and cybersecurity. They agreed to work together to deepen exchanges and cooperation across a wide range of areas in the future."
