Seoul National University Hospital Ranks First in National Brand Competitiveness Index (NBCI) for 10 Consecutive Years

Seoul National University Hospital announced on August 11 that it has been ranked first in the general hospital category for the 10th consecutive year in the '2025 National Brand Competitiveness Index (NBCI)' survey, organized by the Korea Productivity Center.

The NBCI is an index that ranks the competitiveness of specific brands by comprehensively evaluating brand awareness, image, relationships, purchase intention, and loyalty among consumers every year. This year's survey was conducted from April to June.


As the national central hospital, Seoul National University Hospital has grown based on a patient-centered philosophy and a sense of social responsibility. By leveraging advanced technologies such as AI (artificial intelligence), precision medicine, and digital healthcare, the hospital provides accurate diagnoses and personalized treatments, while continuing proactive support to realize patient-tailored medical services. These technological innovations play a significant role in building next-generation medical services at Seoul National University Hospital.


The hospital is also actively contributing to the establishment of a national medical safety net. Through centers such as the Central Cardiovascular Disease Center, the Severe Maternal and Child Medical Center, and the Pediatric Cancer and Rare Disease Support Group, the hospital provides advanced medical services and fulfills the value of public healthcare. In addition, through the pilot project for the Public Clinical Professor System, Seoul National University Hospital is working to reduce regional disparities in healthcare and address gaps in essential medical services.


As a research-oriented hospital, Seoul National University Hospital is leading innovation in future medicine. By collaborating with world-renowned research institutions such as MIT, Harvard Medical School, and Stanford University, the hospital is nurturing global physician-scientists. In particular, in 2024, it was designated as a 'National Strategic Technology Specialized Research Institute' by the Ministry of Health and Welfare, and is actively pursuing research innovation in national strategic technology fields such as AI-based precision medicine, advanced bio-technology, and medical device development.


In 2025, the hospital launched the 'AI Healthcare Research Institute' to accelerate the development of precision diagnosis and prediction technologies and personalized treatments using medical big data and AI. Through these efforts, Seoul National University Hospital is promoting the convergence of AI and healthcare and accelerating the construction of next-generation patient-centered medical systems.


In the clinical field as well, Seoul National University Hospital provides precise and safe medical services based on world-class treatment capabilities. The hospital is leading the introduction of next-generation surgical techniques and is enhancing the status of K-medical through global cooperation projects such as the management of SKSH in the UAE. It is also presenting future medical models such as the National Firefighters Hospital, Baegot Seoul National University Hospital, and the Gijang Heavy Ion Therapy Center.
