Seminar on Activating Public Characters and the Content Industry Also Scheduled
An event will be held to provide an overview of various sectors in the content industry, including characters, webtoons, games, and convergence content.
The Daejeon Tourism Organization will host the '2025 Daejeon Content Fair' at Exhibition Hall 2 of the Daejeon Convention Center from September 13 to 14, aiming to lay the foundation for Daejeon to further grow as a content city.
As a side program of the fair, the 'Local Government and Public Character Festival Contest' will also be held, targeting public characters operated by festival organizing committees of local governments and public institutions across the country.
The contest has been organized to discover and promote public characters that embody policy and the unique cultural stories of each region. Characters that have completed the application process can be voted for on the official website until the 30th.
Winners will be selected in the government, local government, and public festival categories, and the winning characters will be presented to the public through an awards ceremony and exhibition during the content fair.
In addition, a 'Local Government and Public Character Activation Seminar' linked to the contest will be held during the content fair. This seminar will bring together relevant organizations and experts to discuss ways to utilize public characters and vitalize the content industry, creating an opportunity for exchange and collaboration.
Yoon Seongguk, President of the Daejeon Tourism Organization, said, "I hope the Daejeon Content Fair will serve as a meaningful opportunity to widely promote the value and potential of local content," adding, "We will continue to do our best to help Daejeon further grow as a content city through various projects that connect local characters and content."
