Yangsan City to Host Tongdosa Temple Mural Exhibition through Digital Media

Operation of the World Heritage Utilization Program
"See with Your Eyes, Hold with Your Hands" from August 15 to October 29

Yangsan City in South Gyeongsang Province plans to run a mural exhibition program under the theme "See with Your Eyes, Hold with Your Hands" at the Tongdosa Temple Seongbo Museum as part of the 2025 World Heritage Utilization Program. The exhibition will be held from August 15 to October 29, 2025.

This exhibition program reproduces the hidden murals painted on Tongdosa Temple's buildings using modern digital video media. Visitors will be able to view a total of 10 vivid and dynamic mural exhibition videos.

In addition to special exhibition experiences, an event will be held for visitors who participate in exhibition promotions and surveys. Participants will receive a lenticular mural photo card?featuring Tongdosa Temple's architecture and murals?using a technology that displays different images depending on the viewing angle. Through this exhibition, the city aims to provide an opportunity to promote the historical significance and artistic value of Tongdosa Temple.

An official from Yangsan City stated, "During the exhibition period, the National Heritage Media Art event and the Tongdosa Gaesandaeje Yeongchuk Culture Festival will also be held from October 3 to October 29. We hope that many tourists will visit Tongdosa Temple and experience the unique value of our city's World Cultural Heritage."
