KakaoBank Expands Fund Product Lineup to 45 Offerings

Adding 22 More Products and Introducing Keyword Search
"Aiming to Expand to 100 Offerings in the Future"

KakaoBank is set to launch a new fund service, significantly expanding its fund product lineup to a total of 45 offerings.

The fund service, which KakaoBank first introduced in January last year, is an investment service based on its own license and was the first of its kind among internet banks. KakaoBank also exclusively offers certain funds, such as "Korea Investment Vietnam Equity 35" and "Mirae Asset India Equity 35," which are only available through its platform. Since its launch, the service has continued to gain popularity, with the cumulative number of accounts reaching 260,000 and the balance surpassing 170 billion KRW. Through this latest update, the number of fund products has nearly doubled, increasing from the previous 23 to a total of 45.

KakaoBank aimed to meet diverse customer needs by adding products with high growth potential for the future, such as "AI," "Global Healthcare," and "Aerospace," in addition to low-risk, high-quality bond investments. Alongside existing products investing in the United States, Japan, and Vietnam, the bank is also introducing funds that invest in Germany, Europe, and China.

In line with the expansion of its product lineup, KakaoBank is also introducing a search function to help customers more conveniently find products. By entering desired keywords into the "Find Fund" search bar on the fund screen, customers can view search results tailored to their investment profile, which they can identify through the "Discover My Investment Profile" feature. This allows users to easily check products related to their keywords and see the average annual return for the past year at a glance.

A KakaoBank representative stated, "We have carried out this update to enhance convenience for customers using our fund service," adding, "Going forward, we plan to expand our product lineup to around 100 offerings and strive to provide a new investment experience by further enhancing the user experience (UX) and user interface (UI)."
