Suwon City Assists Residents with Limited Mobility in Applying for Consumption Coupons

Suwon City in Gyeonggi Province is assisting residents with limited mobility, such as the elderly and people with disabilities, by visiting them to help apply for the Livelihood Recovery Consumption Coupon.


On August 11, Suwon City announced that it is operating a "Visiting Livelihood Recovery Consumption Coupon Application" service for those who have not yet applied for the consumption coupon, particularly residents who have difficulty applying online and have limited mobility.


To this end, Suwon City is mobilizing approximately 20,000 care personnel, including community leaders, visiting nurses, activity assistants for people with disabilities, long-term care workers, social workers, senior customized care service providers, and medical benefit managers.

After the application is completed, a Shinhan prepaid card that can be used as the consumption coupon will be distributed to the households of eligible recipients.


A Suwon City official stated, "We will visit and assist residents who are in the blind spots of the application process so that every citizen can apply for the Livelihood Recovery Consumption Coupon," and added, "If you are unable to apply online or in person, please visit your nearest community administrative welfare center to apply."


Meanwhile, according to Suwon City's tally of the Livelihood Recovery Consumption Coupon as of 6:00 p.m. on August 10, the application rate stands at 95.9%, with a total of 179.2 billion won distributed.
